Latest News from NBC

NBC were due to announce their Proposed Dog Control Orders by the end of this
summer.  As we had not heard anything we contacted them a couple of days ago 
for an update – they said that they have been delayed because of staff 
shortages and now expect the Proposed Dog Control Orders to be announced at 
the end of 2007/beginning of 2008.  

Please be aware that this issue has not gone away and for now it is really a 
waiting game as there is nothing more we can really do until we see what the 
Proposed Dog Control Orders consist of.  As soon as they are advertised in 
the local paper we will let you know and put them on the NorthantsDogs 
website – we will then have 28 days to object should there be a need to.

We really want to highlight the excellent work the Kennel Club are doing in 
fighting some of the harsher councils and actually getting some of them to 
withdraw completely the unreasonable and harsh dog control orders that they 
were trying to enforce.  We really would be in a sorry state without the 
Kennel Club.
