It was reported in the Northants Cron and Echo yesterday (Monday), in the 
Public Notices section, a notice from Northampton Borough Council with the 
head line of – 

THE CLEAN NEIGHBOURHOODS AND ENVIRONMENT ACT 2005 THE DOG CONTROL ORDERS 
(PRESCRIBED OFFENCES AND PENALTIES, ETC.) REGULATIONS 2006 THE FOULING OF 
LAND BY DOGS OF NORTHAMPTON BOROUGH COUNCIL ORDER 2008

This is the first of a number of new regulations the council are looking at 
introducing.

We have contacted Northampton Borough Council who have responded as follows -
 ..... the remaining four D C Orders are still being looked at but still 
require more investigations. We are currently carrying out site visits 
(to assess their suitability) and intend to carry out public meetings. 
These dates will be advertised when they will take place but they have not 
been set yet....... You may find some items on our website which explains

This first dog control order, as far as we can see is nothing to worry about 
for the normal law abiding dog owners.
